RN PCU

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.
• 13-week contract.
• 36 hours per week.

Unit

• Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC), 4Heart.
• 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds.
• Primary patient population includes CV surgery and vascular surgery, plus overflow medical cardiology patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• ACLS.
• BLS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Telemetry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience within a year, including open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, and fem-pop bypass.
• CVICU experience.

Procedures / Clinical Experience on Unit

• Epidural management.
• Chest tube management.
• Tube feedings.
• IV gluccomander.
• Cardiac gtt management, including phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, and ketamine.

Floating

• May float to any SD unit, MS unit, or ER inpatient holding area.

Schedule

• No call.
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
• Flexible to work holidays.

Dress Code

• All navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white.
