Overview

  • Travel RN assignment in Lewisville, Texas
  • 13-week contract
  • 36 hours per week
  • Surgical Telemetry Unit
  • 19-bed unit on the 1st floor of B tower

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
  • BLS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Charge experience
  • Preceptor experience

Unit Details

  • Staffed by RN, LVN, and PCT
  • Typical day shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses, 1-2 PCTs
  • Typical night shift: 1 Charge, 3-4 Nurses, 1-2 PCTs
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn VS machines
  • EMR: Meditech

Common Duties

  • Ambulation of patients
  • Wound care as needed

Floating

  • Ortho Trauma
  • Inpatient Rehab

Work Environment

  • Positive attitude and teamwork are valued
  • Royal Blue scrubs required
