Overview
- Travel RN role in San Antonio, Texas.
- Unit: Alamo Heights FSED.
- 8 beds.
- 36 hours per week.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Free Standing ER setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech experience
- FSED experience
Unit Details
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Staffed with 15 total staff.
- Day shift staffing includes 2 7a, 1 9a, and 1 11a; 1 day-shift staff member is charge.
- Night shift staffing includes 2 7p; 1 night-shift staff member is charge.
- Typical procedures include IV, bloodwork, Foley, breathing treatments, and medication administration.
Schedule
- Rotating weekends: 4 out of 8 required.
- No on-call.
Floating
- No regular floating, but hours may be provided to other Methodist/FSED locations within 25 miles if necessary.

- EMR: Meditech
- Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
- Unit policy: Follow Methodist Healthcare policies
