Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Information

  • Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Number of Beds: 24
  • Number of Staff: 50
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 12 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, 1-3 sitters/week
    • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 12 RNs, 1-3 sitters/week
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Equipment Used: Ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, Balloon pumps
  • Typical Procedures: Intubation, Central line placement, Bronchoscopy, External Ventricular Drains (EVDs), Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring, Swan catheter management, Pacemakers, Bolts
  • EMR system used (not specified)
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Work Schedule & Expectations

  • Work every other weekend
  • May be placed on call for the shift they are scheduled to work if not needed, with no additional call expectations beyond that shift

Floating Assignments

  • May float to Doctors ICU as needed
