Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Unit: Progressive Care (PCU)
• Specialty: Cardiac
• Patient Population: Adult cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, cardioversions
• Number of Beds: 22
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Equipment: Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Paragon
• Shift: PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including experience within the last year
• Experience in Stepdown and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Environment & Culture

• Team-oriented with emphasis on good communication skills and flexibility
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are not acceptable

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available
• Facility is a 154-bed hospital with services including orthopedics, spine, cardiology, general surgery, women’s care, emergency, and behavioral health
• Located near Great Smoky Mountains National Park and within driving distance to several major cities (Asheville, Pigeon Forge, Atlanta, Charleston, Knoxville, Columbia, Greenville)
