Outpatient Surgery RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington
• 13-week assignment
• Start date: Mid November
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Flexibility with shift times is expected
• May float to Main OR
• No weekend shifts; call is required
• 30-minute travel time for call back or stay over end of shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Outpatient Surgery experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Hematology / Oncology experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Clinical Details

• Circulate cases for General Surgery, GYN, Urology, brachy therapy, breasts, plastics, Max face, ENT, Eyes, General, Hematology/Oncology, and Ortho
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient OR cases
• Case mix includes 40% inpatient, 60% outpatient, and 20% pediatrics
• Hardstop skillset includes General, Gyne, Breast surgery, ENT, Urology, and Pediatrics
• Blood/Blood Products Administration
• Cardioversion / Defibrillation
• Cooling / Warming Blanket
• Drains, Syringe Pumps, Wound Vac

Call Schedule

• 2 weekdays and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule period
• Call hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
  • Friday: 5:00 PM–11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • No Sunday call hours

Time Off

• Up to 3 days of RTO accepted
• Anything beyond 3 days will be screened
• No holiday RTO
