Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN in the Emergency Department.
• Assigned to one campus, with possible rotation to other campuses and ED observation.
• Will crosstrain and float to other campuses and ED observation.
• Level I Trauma Center.
• Short Term Acute Care facility.

Schedule

• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
• 36 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Every other weekend required.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated.
• On-call is not required.
• Guaranteed hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ED - Emergency Department (1.5 years of experience).
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
• One completed travel assignment.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience.

Clinical Details

• Average ratio: 1:6 on days and 1:6 on nights.
• Charting system: Epic.

Additional Notes

• RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
• Travelers do not get trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units.
• Parking costs $125/month.
