Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Morganton, North Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Labor and delivery unit with mother/baby experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP issued by American Heart Association
• EFM
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience working with Infant patients
• Maternal - Newborn experience

Unit Details

• 16 LDRP rooms
• C-section suite and PACU on the L&D unit
• 4-bed special care nursery
• Closed specialty unit; does not float to other units outside Family Center

Additional Notes

• Support roles on the unit include preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation support
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Minimum of 2 clinical references dated within 1 year of start
• Official transcript or copy of transcript required
• Drug test required within 30 days of start
• Background check required
• Fit mask clearance required within 1 year of start
• Tdap, TB screening, MMR, hepatitis B, varicella, flu documentation or approved exemptions required
• Physical exam, respiratory safety clearance, competency exam, and skills checklist required
