Role Overview
- General Ultrasound Tech at ART
- Travel/Contract assignment in Charleston, South Carolina
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- No call
- Will float between Main and ART
- Daily caseload varies
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist with 1 year of experience
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARDMS or ARRT (S)
- Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Experience working with Transplant patients
- Experience with abdominal ultrasound
- Experience with vascular ultrasound
- Experience with transplant ultrasound
Preferred
- First-timers accepted
Additional Details
- SC state ultrasound licensure is not required
- Radius rule: 60 miles
- Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate
- Guaranteed hours may be reduced by 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Epic charting
- Scrub colors are teal tops and black bottoms
- 865 staffed beds
- Teaching hospital; Magnet and Level 1 Trauma designation

Pros
Everyone was so helpful and nice when i started. beautiful hospital grounds with ample outdoor areas to hang out during breaks/lunch.Amazing cafeteria and always had at least 5 food trucks outside the hospital for linch. Friendly staff including doctors and great patients. patient to staff ratio was awesome and always had a great team mentality of helping everyone out when needed.
Cons
The only con of the area was cost of living especially rent. I rented downtown so I could walk to work but coworkers who lived off of the main downtown area on other islands complained of heavy traffic.
