Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Evening, Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Setting: Outpatient center with walk-in patients
- Daily Caseload: 30-75 patients per day, working alongside another technologist
- Equipment Used: Konica U-arm, Phillips, EOS, OEC, Dornier, Zheim
- Procedures Include: Fluoroscopy, Modified barium swallows, urodynamics
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: Free
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Indiana State Radiologic Technologist License (pending license submissions accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- X-Ray Technician experience
- BLS certification
- ARRT certification
Additional Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific compliance, confidentiality, orientation, and policy forms prior to start
- Must complete any mandatory facility-specific training modules by deadlines (if applicable)
- Employment application with full work history and explanation of any gaps of 30+ days required
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
Important Notes
- This is a short-term acute care outpatient setting
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- Indiana RN travelers have restrictions effective 11/30/2024; however, this does not apply to Allied Health travelers such as this X-Ray Tech role
- On-site fit testing available only as a last resort and requires prior approval
- PAPR respirators available on-site with facility approval
