Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Macon, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit & Schedule Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Call: 12-15 days in a 6-week schedule, including a minimum of 2 weekends
- Floating: Within facility and scope of practice, including Main OR and another hospital as needed
- Weekend: Included in call requirements only
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (up to 2 holidays required)
- Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
- RTO (Return to Office) policy: Maximum 7 days
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- CVOR experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including multiple county and national searches, education verification, and must be complete prior to start
- Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)
- Physical exam required within 12 months of start (agency requirement)
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months of start; if past positive, additional documentation required
- TB Questionnaire required annually for all candidates
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented:
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Highly recommended but not required; preferred for privileging specialties
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
- Two clinical references required by agency (not client)
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months, verified annually
- Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)

- Locals accepted at same rate
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
- Manager review of candidate profile within 48 hours after confirmation to determine fit for unit/schedule/expertise
