Location

• Albany, Georgia

Contract

• 17 weeks
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Unit Overview

• Cardiac step-down / progressive care unit
• Typical patient mix includes cardiovascular surgery and cardiac patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• 2 years of step-down experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend
• Must be flexible to work holidays and days around holidays
• Floating to ICU may be required; if the nurse cannot take ICU-level patients, they may be asked to task in the ICU
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips

Clinical Notes

• Common therapies and patient needs include drips, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and chest tubes
• Floor orientation is 3 shifts
• Pacer wire removal is preferred; orientation can be provided if needed

Dress Code

• Natural-colored hair
• No fake nails or shellac
• No facial piercings
• No visible tattoos

Additional Considerations

• Strict 75-mile radius rule based on the address on the driver’s license
• Driver’s license copy must be provided with submission
