Surgical Tech

Role Overview

• Surgical Tech in Fargo, North Dakota.
• 13-week contract.
• Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience.
• BLS (AHA).
• Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start.
• Experience in a large hospital with level 1 trauma experience.
• Experience working in a busy acute care facility with more than 15 OR suites.
• Experience with robotics.
• Experience in at least one of these systems: Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, or Striker total replacements.

Preferred Experience

• Strong general surgical experience, including ENT, Ortho, and Neuro.

Clinical Setting

• 25 OR suites.
• Average 75 to 100 cases per day.
• Primary procedures include orthopedics, plastic surgery, and ENT for pediatric and adult patients.
• General job duties include surgical and operating room duties to assist the surgeon and other health care team members.
• Procedures mentioned include orthopedics, ENT, plastics, general, and some trauma.

Schedule

• 10 hour shifts.
• Stay late as needed; this is not considered call back.
• Call is 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weeks.
• May need to cover cases outside of general surgery when on call or on off shifts.

Float Scope

• May float to other Fargo campuses, Broadway and SU.

Additional Notes

• Travelers living within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted.
• Local travel rate applies to those living 60 to 80 miles from the facility.
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue.
• If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, that must be noted in submission, and there must be an end date 6 months prior to submission date.
