Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Jupiter, Florida
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) during night shifts.
• Must have recent experience with heart patients ("fresh heart experience").

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with electronic health record systems, including Cerner and Epic

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year work/school/location history
  • Sex offender registry check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting). Clearance can take up to 10 days; must be on file before starting.
• Physical exam within 6 months to 1 year of start date.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step TB skin test or equivalent within 3 months acceptable)
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella (Chickenpox)
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination with negative titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required year-round)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 and fully vaccinated with dose 2 if applicable); exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 30 days to 1 year of start (instant acceptable).
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (if not available, will be completed onsite).

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific health and safety training modules during the first week.
• Completion of emergency contact form prior to start.
• Facility parking registration form must be completed.
• Competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency.
• Two professional references required for travel or acute care roles (within 3 years).
