Registered Nurse – Step Down Unit

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri

Shift Details

Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Total hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Stepdown nursing experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

Background checks including national criminal, state, county, SSN trace, sex offender, and federal exclusions
Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date
Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
Drug screen within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
Immunizations/vaccinations or documented immunity/declination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually; additional requirements if TB positive
Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption with mask mandate
Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
Two professional references within 3 years of start
Employment application, skills checklist, and recent work history verification required

Facility-Specific Requirements

Confidentiality Agreement and Code of Conduct acknowledgment must be reviewed and signed
Agency Nurse Orientation Quiz with minimum score of 84% required prior to start
AVADE training (onsite safety and skills validation) required for RN candidates in certain units if extending beyond initial contract
Annual renewal of AVADE training if applicable

Additional Notes

Locals within a 50-mile radius may be accepted at a reduced rate
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
