Operating Room Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Midland, Texas
16-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
36 hours per week
Call required
Weekly schedule varies; no set days guaranteed
Block scheduling is not approved

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orthopedics experience
Neurology experience
Trauma experience
ENT Surgery experience

Preferred Qualifications

Pediatric experience

Required Health / Compliance Items

Physical exam
N95 fit test
Tdap vaccination
Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
Measles immunity or vaccination
Mumps immunity or vaccination
Rubella immunity or vaccination
Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination
Varicella immunity or vaccination
Drug screening
Flu vaccination or agency declination during flu season
Confidentiality and security agreement
Drug screening and blood testing consent
TB questionnaire

Orientation safety manual acknowledgement

Additional Notes

Onsite drug screen occurs during orientation
Traveler must be flexible with rotating days off and call
