Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with potential to float to related units including Emergency Department.
• Work 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (day or night) with rotating shifts possible to meet operational needs.
• Shifts:

  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Must work at least every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required:

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Orientation and Onboarding

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation at orientation.
• Photo ID required for badge.
• Documentation verification including primary source license verification and education verification.
• Must carry government-issued photo ID while on assignment.

Additional Information

• Candidates may be required to float to other units caring for similar patient populations.
• Facility reserves the right to rotate shifts if necessary.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
• Candidates can start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
• Candidates must complete all required health and immunization documentation and certifications prior to start.
• Modules and onboarding process typically take multiple days; candidates should prioritize timely completion.
• Candidates with a break in employment longer than 6 months at this facility may need to repeat orientation modules and competency exams.

Work Hours

• 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each).
