PICU Registered Nurse

Role Overview

  • Travel/Contract position in Charlottesville, Virginia
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
  • 3 weekends per six-week schedule
  • May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs
  • Time off can be approved up to 40 hours
  • Time off is not approved for the first 2 weeks of the contract

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
  • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Pediatric cardiac experience
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
  • Pediatrics experience
  • Experience with Epic
