ICU RN Travel Contract

Overview

Role Summary

Experienced critical care RN needed for a night ICU assignment caring for medical and occasional post-surgical patients, including ventilated and pressor-dependent cases.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Continuous IV sedation
• Procedural Sedation Administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Cerner experience

Patient Population / Unit Details

• Medical ICU patients with conditions such as alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID
• Occasional surgical cases, including VATS, carotids, and CEAs
• Typical acuity includes vented patients, pressors, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• Staffing ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
• ICU serves as code team and rapid response team
