Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Rhode Island
Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Stepdown experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance Requirements

Nursys verification
License and/or certification primary source verification
Rhode Island fingerprinting for RN roles
Specialty competency exam
Basic EKG exam
Pharmacology exam
Core competencies
COVID-19 vaccine series or bivalent booster
MMR immunity or positive titer
Fit test
Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
2-step PPD or IGRA within the last year

BLS and ACLS accept AHA or ARC
BSN applies to RN positions only
Flu vaccination is required during 9/1/25-5/31/26
Positive PPD/TB history requires a negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
Hepatitis B titers are not accepted
Fit test must be completed before start and within 1 year of start
COVID vaccine medical exemption may be reviewed and approved before start
Fingerprinting must be completed in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
