Travel RN Medical/Surgical Position - Wichita, Kansas

• Personal Health History requirements:

  • Fit Test (annual)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • TB screening (Positive IGRA or PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual questionnaire)
  • Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 30 days prior to start
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start (includes amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, etc.)
  • Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)
• Professional verifications and background checks including:

  • Criminal Background Check (7-year search including SSN trace, county, national criminal, OFAC, sex offender)
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
  • Education Verification within 90 days prior to start
  • Employment Verification for past 7 years
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills; updated annually)
• Professional references: at least two required prior to first assignment
• Ascension Profile and Confirmation of Assignment documentation

Onboarding and Training

• Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (onsite)
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training
• Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional for onboarding)
• Post-assignment evaluation may be required

This position requires a well-documented and up-to-date set of certifications, licenses, health screenings, and background verifications consistent with Ascension Health travel nurse standards. The schedule is weekend-heavy with no call, and physical lifting is part of the job duties.
