Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations using independent judgment to adapt procedures for specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results under radiologist direction.
Conduct ultrasound procedures ensuring accurate and complete exams for patients of all ages.
Obtain accurate patient histories and explain procedures to patients and families.
Use appropriate transducers and machine settings to enhance image quality.
Evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality before submission to radiologists.
Assess abdominal arterial and venous systems using color imaging.
Maintain knowledge and operation skills of all ultrasound equipment, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Prepare sterile trays and assist radiologists with invasive procedures such as biopsies.
Order labs and pathology tests as directed by radiologists.
Support Medical Imaging department functions, including training technologists and students.
Manage patient flow and data entry to ensure efficient and timely patient care.
Maintain quality assurance, control, and improvement programs.
Foster a professional and respectful learning environment among staff.

Associate’s Degree in Sonography or Radiology or Certificate of completion of a Radiologic Technology program
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
