Overview

• Travel assignment in Pikeville, Kentucky
• Specialty: Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry
• 12-hour night shifts
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
• Start: ASAP

Schedule and unit expectations

• Every other weekend and holiday
• No blocked schedule requests
• May float within cardiac progressive care/telemetry inpatient areas
• May be asked to assist as an aide if needed

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
• Tele strip interpretation
• Ability to initiate and titrate cardiac drips
• Care for post cath (femoral and radial) patients
• Care for CP and MI patients
• Experience with Epic

Clinical experience

• Post-cath patients, including femoral and radial access
• Chest pain and myocardial infarction patients

Compliance and vaccination

• COVID-19 vaccination required unless a medical or religious declination is accepted; if declined, weekly testing is required at traveler/agency expense
• Hepatitis B vaccination required with no declination allowed

Additional notes

• EPIC charting experience required
• 75-mile radius rule applies
