Registered Nurse - Pre Op (Travel Assignment)
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Unit and Work Environment
- Unit: Same Day Surgery
- Number of Beds: 15
- Patient Ratio: 2:1
- Staffing: All RN staff with accessible OR aids as needed
- Equipment: GE monitors, stretchers, ultrasound
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling: Four 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
- Floating Policy: Float only to areas of competency with guaranteed hours
- Patient Care Focus: Pre-op and post-op phase 2 patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of preoperative nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in post-op phase 2 patient care
- Knowledge of and experience with orthopedic surgery procedures
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Dress Code
- Required uniform colors: Ceil blue or Navy blue
