Registered Nurse - Pre Op (Travel Assignment)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: Same Day Surgery
• Number of Beds: 15
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Staffing: All RN staff with accessible OR aids as needed
• Equipment: GE monitors, stretchers, ultrasound
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling: Four 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
• Floating Policy: Float only to areas of competency with guaranteed hours
• Patient Care Focus: Pre-op and post-op phase 2 patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of preoperative nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in post-op phase 2 patient care
• Knowledge of and experience with orthopedic surgery procedures
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Dress Code

• Required uniform colors: Ceil blue or Navy blue
