Key Responsibilities

Provides perioperative nursing care, including preoperative assessment, care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation
Assists with case setup using sterile technique
Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning, operative site preparation, procedure/site confirmation, and transfer to and from the operating table
Performs and documents surgical counts
Assists with operating room cleanup after surgery, including disposal of used supplies and sharps
