Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Maine
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Antepartum experience
• Post Partum experience
• Nursery experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• STABLE
• AWHONN
• C-EFM

Role Overview

• Provides holistic, individualized nursing care for patients on the OB unit
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients
• Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills
• Manages supplies and equipment
• Supports teamwork with physicians and other hospital departments

• Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation
• Requires effective written and oral communication skills
• Requires computer skills
