Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position involves Med/Surg Telemetry nursing on a rotating day/night shift (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm). Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety exam (SafeMedicate) with required passing scores.
• Hours submission through a designated system.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Minimum 1.5 years of Telemetry experience, with Telemetry experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Cardiovascular Oriented Resuscitation (CVOR) certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Must pass background checks including fingerprinting (FBI and state), updated annually.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions.
• Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months, updated annually.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine (seasonal).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility policy.
• Drug screening (standard 10 panel) within 12 months, updated annually.
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start.
• References: 2 professional references from within 1 year of start (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).
• Employment application with at least 3 years prior work history including 2 years clinical acute care in a similar area.

Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12's).
• Rotating day/night shifts with possible variability to meet hospital needs.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Candidates must be prepared to complete all onboarding and competency requirements before starting.
• Facility reserves the right to rotate shifts as needed.
• Candidates must comply with all health and safety documentation and testing requirements.
