Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job
Location
- Kalamazoo, Michigan
Schedule
- Night shift
- 3x12 hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- May pick up additional hours as needed
- Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 per week
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Call: not required
Assignment Length
- Up to 26 weeks
Unit Notes
- Float as needed to medical-surgical departments
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Night staffing ratio: 1:5–6
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience with Epic
Additional Considerations
- Holiday time-off requests are not accepted, though dates may be discussed with the manager to determine unit coverage
- Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status, and sepsis
