Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Burbank, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Start date: ASAP
Facility type: Acute Care Hospital with 392 staffed beds
Floating required between outpatient center and hospital units
Locals accepted
No on-call required

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
ARRT or NMTCB certification

Additional Requirements

Must comply with floating policy acknowledgment
Must meet all background check requirements including:
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start
Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable documentation
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required

Competencies & Training

Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Competency exams required as applicable by specialty
Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific Workramp modules via LMS
Epic training modules completion required (transcripts must be submitted)
