X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work Schedule: Night shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (40 hours/week)
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum of 2 years Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• E-Verify/I9 documentation required
• Physical exam within 6 months of start, signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA, confirming ability to perform job without restrictions
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months (TSPOT and PPD not accepted) or chest X-ray if prior positive TB test
• Annual fit mask test with approved 3M 1860 masks (no exceptions)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant tests not accepted)
• Immunizations:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer (declination accepted)
  • Annual flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Two professional references within the last 2 years (state mandated for direct patient contact roles)

Required Training and Modules

Candidates must complete the following online orientation and training modules prior to start:

• Clinical/Online Orientation Module (valid for 1 year)
• Annual Risk Management Course Module (valid for 1 year)
• General Compliance & Ethics Training Module (valid for 1 year)
• Code of Conduct Module (valid for 1 year)
• Comprehensive Emergency Management Education Module (valid for 1 year)
• Preventing & Reporting Workplace Harassment Module (valid for 1 year)
• Additional nursing-specific modules as applicable (e.g., ICU Medical, Stroke Core Measures, End of Life, etc.)

Note: Certificates of completion must be saved and submitted as proof.

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo on a solid white background (color, no hats or sunglasses)
• Compliance with privacy policies and affidavits as required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Color blindness testing with minimum 80% score, updated annually

• Locals within a 60-mile radius are considered
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
