Location

• College Station, Texas

Contract

• 12 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• Active NRP certification
• Active STABLE certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience
• Experience with drips, vents, and lines
• Proficiency with NC, HFNC, BCPAP, vents, chest tubes, UVC, UAC, and ELBW infants

Preferred Experience

• Delivery experience

Unit Details

• Level III NICU
• Typical patient acuity is low, with standard level I care and capability for level II patients
• Common patient population includes prematurity, hypoglycemia, PPHN, and respiratory support cases
• Most assignments are 1:2; occasional 1:1; feeder-grower infants may be 1:3
• Neonatology provider is in house 24/7

Schedule

• Self-scheduling is used
• Schedule is built in 6-week blocks
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays rotate with core staff
• No call or standby requirement

Floating

• May float to assist Mother Baby staff
• May float between College Station and Bryan campuses

Additional Notes

• May be asked to precept
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged
• Navy scrubs are required
• Copy of driver’s license is needed at submission to validate legal name
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year
