Schedule

Days
Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts
On-call required
Call response time: 30 minutes

Assignment Details

15 beds
Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Mixed cases, including pediatric patients daily
All OR cases except transplant
Travelers float first and may float to inpatient units as helping hands, be a sitter, and provide phase 2 comfort
2 days of PACU orientation, plus first weekend buddy call

Required Qualifications

BLS
ACLS
PALS
Must be able to recover pediatric patients
Must be willing to second phase patients out of OR

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of experience

Additional Notes

Charge nurse is present and may take an assignment
RN to transport patients
Can hold vented patients on pressors and needing blood products
RNs read strips
Scrubs provided
