Location

• Peru, Illinois

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Days: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730

Unit

• Med Surg | RN
• 2 South: 18 beds
• 3 South: 22 beds

Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Negative drug screen for all panels

Preferred

• PALS
• At least 2 years of experience
• Previous travel experience

Clinical Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:5; Nights 1:5-6
• Common patient types include medical acute cases such as pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, COPD, urologic, surgical, total joints, general surgery, and occasional pediatric respiratory illness
• RN monitors tele strips
• May need to troubleshoot Bi-pap and High-flow
• RN titration of drips is not required

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required

Floating

• May float to ICU for general acute overflow patients
• May float to Ottawa Campus to staff greatest need

Additional Notes

• Solid color scrubs only, no prints
• Unit orientation is usually 3 shifts
• Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours
