Location

• Somerset, Kentucky

Contract

• Travel assignment
• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• CVICU (2 years of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience managing ventilators

Unit Details

• Cardiovascular ICU
• 12 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• May float to other areas based on census

Experience / Skills

• Cardiac ICU experience
• Rhythm interpretation
• Ability to assist with bedside procedures
• Experience with drips and vents

Work Environment

• Patient ratio ranges from 2:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
• Equipment includes vents, Swan-Ganz catheters, balloon pumps, arterial lines, and CRRT

Schedule Notes

• Rotates every other weekend
• No additional on-call requirements

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
• No open-toed shoes or jeans
• Offensive tattoos are not allowed
• Large hoops, barbells, and bullrings are prohibited
