Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
44 beds
Staff: 46 total (RNs, LPNs, techs, secretaries)
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, RNs, LPNs, techs, 1 secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, RNs, LPNs, techs
Patient Ratios:
- Techs: 5-6 patients per tech
- Nurses: 10-15 patients per nurse
Equipment used: Hoyer lifts, IVs, PEG tubes, tracheostomies, peritoneal dialysis, wound care
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use

Typical Procedures

Medication administration
Basic med-surgical nursing tasks

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Rehabilitation nursing, including experience within the last year
Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting

Preferred Experience

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) background required
Med-Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience preferred

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented and positive attitude highly valued
Dress code: Navy scrubs
Unit recognized for multiple Daisy Awards and Joint Commission basic stroke certification
