Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Rutherfordton, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
Call Requirement: None

Unit & Patient Population

Unit: Women’s Services (Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, Gynecology)
Beds: 3 LDR, 4 Triage, 2 Antepartum, 10 Postpartum/Gyn/Peds
Patient Population: Maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, pediatric
Patient Ratios: Based on acuity
Equipment: Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue
Electronic Health Record (EHR): MediTech
Float Requirements: Yes

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Experience in Charge nurse roles
Certifications prior to start:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience

Minimum 3 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, and Gynecology
3 years of charge nurse experience preferred
