Unit: Surgical/Trauma
Bed count: 24
Patient population: Post-operative and trauma patients
Patient ratio: 1:5, with a maximum of 1:6
Staffing support: Unit secretary on days; 2 techs on days and nights
Floating: Based on house needs
Schedule requirement: Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
ACLS
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
Orthopedics experience
Trauma experience

Preferred Experience

Experience in post-operative care
Trauma experience

Skills / Role Focus

Post-op care management with a multidisciplinary team

Additional Notes

Meditech is used for documentation
Royal blue scrubs required; black, white, or royal blue jackets allowed
Pathways are available for individual surgeons/physicians to support orientation and familiarity
