Schedule

• Day shift
• 36 hours per week
• 4 x 9-hour shifts
• Weekday and weekend call required

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• 1 year of endoscopy experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with the technical operation of GI equipment

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and safety for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
• Assess patient needs, develop and update plans of care, and document changes in status
• Support aseptic practice and correct breaks in technique
• Educate and reassure patients and families
• Participate in quality improvement and inventory management
• May float to other departments within the perioperative area and occasionally to other nursing units
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Work Expectations

• Regular on-site attendance during scheduled shifts is required
