Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Hollywood, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Job Description

• Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
• Required certifications and licenses must be current and valid prior to assignment start.

Required Qualifications

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License (Board of Nursing required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA/ARC accepted)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (AAP/AHA accepted)
  • Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (AHA/ARC accepted)

• Health Requirements:

  • Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or IGG titer
  • Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or IGG titer
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody (titer) or declination accepted
  • TB Test (QuantiFERON or T-Spot) within 12 months prior to start; if past positive, chest x-ray and updated TB questionnaire required annually
  • Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal requirement)
  • Tdap vaccination recommended
  • Physical/Health Statement signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA (no expiration)

• Background and Verification:

  • 7-year employment verification
  • 7-year county and national criminal background check including SSN trace and nationwide sex offender, OIG, SAM, OFAC sanctions searches (updated within 30 days prior to start)
  • Drug screen (10 panel) completed within 60 days prior to start
  • Two professional references (Manager/Supervisor level or above)
  • Highest level of education verified through primary source
  • Government-issued photo ID matching license state if applicable
  • Recent color badge photo (within 6 months) meeting specified criteria

• Competency and Skills:

  • Current skills checklist within 12 months prior to start
  • Core competencies completed within 365 days prior to start (minimum 80% pass rate)
  • Specialty exam and pharmacology exam recommended (optional)

Additional Information

• Resume submission required and will be reviewed by department leadership before an offer is extended.
• Attestation forms and acknowledgment of receipt of required policies must be completed prior to start.
• Competency attestation form to be completed within one month of orientation and valid for one year.
