Role Overview

Travel/Contract RN position in Aurora, Colorado
Rotating shifts; various days of the week
36 staffed beds
Epic charting
Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a Teaching Hospital setting

Preferred

First-time travelers accepted, but teaching hospital experience is required if this is the first travel assignment

Unit Details

MS Tele unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6, with ratios that may flex based on staffing and unit needs
Majority of procedures and diagnoses are related to the abdomen or pelvic area, including Gynecologic Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic, Liver, and Stomach
Unit primarily cares for patients with a known cancer diagnosis needing surgical interventions or management of complications
No chemotherapy or biotherapy is administered on this unit
