RN Nephrology

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Nephrology (1 year of experience)
• Nephrology experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Central line care and management
• End of life care and management
• Dialysis site care and management
• Knowledge of HD catheter and fistula access protocols
• Med Surg experience
• Stepdown experience

Skills and Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to hospitalized patients with a range of health problems
• Manages an assigned group of patients
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Assists with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Monitors patient data and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications
• Starts, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Makes referrals for patient care needs
• Delegates tasks to support staff

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program

Additional Notes

• Charge experience is a plus
• Familiarity with central line care and management, Foley care and management, end-of-life care and management, and dialysis site care is helpful
