Operating Room RN

Overview

• 13-week assignment
• 8hr Days
• Weekend, holiday, and call required
• On call required with a 30-minute response time
• 100 mile radius rule

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in New York
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of typical clinical equipment instrumentation used in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs

Role Details

• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
• Experienced RN should have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care, assess patient needs, recognize safety issues, and use lifts to move patients safely
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
• Ability to function well in stressful situations and use creative problem-solving skills
