Overview

Travel RN role in a free-standing rehab center in San Antonio, Texas.
42-bed nursing unit.
36 hours per week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Rehabilitation (1 year of experience)
Rehabilitation experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Inpatient Rehab Experience
Meditech experience

Unit Details

Rehab Nursing unit on the second floor
Staffing includes charge nurse, RNs, LVNs, and Patient Care Techs on both day and night shifts
Patient ratio: 5-6:1
Equipment includes hoyer lifts, SCD machines, wound vacs, Smart Pumps, and Purwicks

Clinical Focus

Lab draws
Diabetes management
Wound care
Ostomy care
IVs/catheter placement

Float Scope

Med surge
Med/Oncology

Schedule Notes

Prefer 4 weekend days per month, but flexible

Work Environment

Works with PT/OT/ST/Dietitian and values kindness, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication
