Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel


Unit & Work Environment

  • Unit: 4th Floor / Neuro (Med Surg)
  • Beds: Currently 18, expanding to 30
  • Patient Ratios: 6-7 patients per nurse
  • Team nursing approach with unit secretaries and techs available
  • Charge Nurse support aimed to be available
  • Equipment: Standard Med Surg equipment
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling: Must work 4 weekend shifts every 4-week period; scheduled per facility policy
  • Floating: Required to float to like units as needed
  • Patient Experience: Hourly safety rounds and bedside shift report with patients required
  • Dress Code: Navy color uniform

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required (can be obtained onsite)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for South Carolina

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Med Surg specialty
