Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel Assignment)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Call Requirements: 1-2 days per week (no weekends or weekend call)
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Overview

  • Unit Type: Endoscopy
  • Number of Beds: 2 procedure rooms
  • Staffing: 2 RNs and 3 Techs on day shift; no night shift staff listed
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Equipment: GI equipment and scopes
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
  • Permanent positions available on unit

Typical Procedures

  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • GI Bleeds management
  • ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy nursing experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience specifically in Endoscopy required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
  • Flexible personality fit

Dress Code

  • Facility provides scrubs in Ceil Blue
  • Hospital scrub color is Navy
