Location: Somerset, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

295-bed acute care hospital serving an 11-county area in south central Kentucky
Offers cardiac care and advanced neurosurgery with Spine Center accreditation
Staff includes over 1,200 healthcare professionals and more than 170 physicians across 38 specialties

Position Details

Specialty: Neuro ICU
Shift: Days
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend (EOW)
Call: No call requirements
Patient Ratios: 4:1 (day shift), 5:1 (night shift)
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
Float: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Neuro ICU experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required prior to start:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
