Schedule

• Evening shift
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Start time: 6:45 AM
• Shift options include 8, 10, or 12 hours
• Weeknight call: 2–3 weeknights in a 6-week rotation
• Weekend call: Friday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Holiday call: On-call per rotation
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN role
• At least 2 years of operating room experience
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Scrubbing experience

Unit Details

• Operating room with 9 suites
• One suite is designated for cardiac cases
• Average daily case volume: 25–30
• Common cases include orthopedics, ortho trauma, neuro, ortho spine, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, urology, and robotics
• Typical patient age is over 15 years
• Trauma cases include MVCs, rock climbing, and bicycle injuries

Work Expectations

• Charge nurse is always present
• Charge nurse does not take a case load during normal operating hours
• Evening and weekend charge may have an assignment
• OR techs are available
• Floating is not required

Orientation

• Orientation length depends on experience and ranges from 3 days to 2 weeks
• Epic training is available during onboarding if needed
