Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arkansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Float (2 years of experience)
Float experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Unit Details

Float pool assignment between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Total care; no PCAs
No tele; only occasional strip reading
Charge nurse is present each shift and takes an assignment
Nurse aides/patient care techs are present
Respiratory support is readily available
Floating required to any Med/Surg pod

Orientation

3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation

Additional Notes

No holiday requirement
No call or standby requirement
Navy scrubs required; scrubs not provided
