X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Florida CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification via AHA required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Successful completion of Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses
• Background check must be within 6 months of start and updated annually
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (results must be dated within 30 days of start)
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Must complete required online orientation and compliance modules (clinical and facility-specific) prior to start

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 6 months of start, signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA, confirming ability to perform job without restrictions
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months (TSPOT and PPD not accepted) or chest X-ray if prior positive
• Annual fit mask test with approved 3M 1860 masks (no exemptions or substitutions allowed)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity/declination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references from within the last 2 years required (state mandate for direct patient contact roles)
• Must complete annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Must complete facility-required online modules including but not limited to:

  • Privacy Policy and AHCA Affidavit
  • Clinical orientation and compliance training
  • Emergency management, workplace harassment, and infection control modules
  • Specialty nursing modules if applicable

• Locals within a 60-mile radius considered
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
